En route to Stockholm
Hi! I’m Marion Sanson, a 25-year-old from Bordeaux, France. After finishing my bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design in June 2020, and after the madness of the pandemic, I decided to embark on a new adventure.
Fast forward to January 2022, and I found myself packing my bags for an exciting professional adventure with Erasmus+ in Sweden for a 6 months internship!

My journey into clay
I’ve always been drawn to crafts, raw materials, textures, and learning pottery sounded like a perfect combination of everything I love! After sending out countless applications, I was thrilled to land in Stockholm, where I spent time at @drejverkstaden, a ceramic studio, learning all about the art of throwing clay.
During my time there, I had the chance to meet incredible ceramists with unique approaches to their craft. Each of them brought their own methods and perspectives, and I soaked up as much knowledge as I could. It was an amazing experience that helped me grow as an artist and taught me a variety of techniques for creating all sorts of pottery.

From studio assistant to ceramic teacher
After my six-month internship, I was offered the incredible opportunity to stay in Stockholm and continue working at Drejverkstaden as a studio assistant. One thing led to another, and I was eventually asked to become a throwing teacher for a new concept called AW Sip'n Throw, where I teach throwing every Friday evening. It's been an amazing journey, combining my passion for ceramics with sharing the joy of creating with others!
